Tickle your palate with home made pasta, barbecued steaks and pork-roasted duck. These are just some of the specialities from the excellent cooking by Ernesto or by Doretta and their nice daughters. The cheese of Montemercole, the mushrooms and game from our wood will not disappoint you.....on the contrary....! You will taste the local products directly from the producers: the oil at the Motina Oil Mill, Chianti wine directly from our friends’ cellar in San Fabiano, the fossa cheese (sealed up in a pit) made by a group of farmers living in the neighbouring farmhouse. You will spend the evening in the local country inns where skilled women cooks still prepare the same typical dishes of the past shrouded in the scent of the wood.
